Will Van Loggerenberg, the Hilton parkrun Event Director shared the following feedback, ‘On Saturday the 29th of September, at our parkrun opening, Jared Leighton was scheduled to be a volunteer. Unfortunately he was sick and couldn’t make it. This is completely understandable but instead of just sending a text, his parents, Juan and Rolene, stepped up and took his place. They showed up, explained that Jared was sick and asked what they can do to help.
They were a tremendous help to us and on a day that saw record numbers, they were an incredible blessing! In my short time that I have worked with Grace College, I have been very impressed by the character of your students and it is stories like these that make us proud to be associated with Grace College. Hooray for the Leightons!’
