On Saturday the 17th of February 2018, Grace College hosted an U16 Boys Basketball Tournament for the first time. We are grateful to our sponsors Mr Greg Downs from Hilton Quarry Spar and Mr Ndumiso Ndlovu Sportsmans Warehouse for their support. The tournament held at Cowan House was comprised of 5 schools; Westville boys high school, Grace College, Maritzburg Christian School, Umgungundlovu Technical Basketball Team. St. Nicholas Diocesan School and Clifton School (Durban). All the matches in the Round Robyn Stage were closely contested with St Nicholas leading the pack. However, it was Westville Boys who won 28-23, in a thrilling playoff against St Nicholas, finishing as overall winners. We congratulate them and extend the invitation to other schools with basketball programmes for the upcoming ‘Grace College U16 Basketball Invitational Tournament 2019’. Pictured here are the Westville Boys U16 basketball team.
