Nick De Scally (Gr 11) took part in the Umgungundlovu trials for KZN SALGAO at the PMB track meeting on Saturday 29th September. He ran 800m in 2 minutes and 1500m in 4:15 minutes. He came first in both of these races. On Saturday, 6 October, he took part in one of the league races at Kings Park. He decided not to run in his age group and ran against the seniors for more competition. He came 2nd in the 1500m in a PB time of 4:10 despite the race being tactical and he ran 1:58 in the 800m breaking the magical 2:00 mark. We wish Nick well as he heads to Bloemfontein this weekend to take part in the first national event of the new season. Pictured L-R: Nick with Owen Higgins from Maritzburg College.
