Dear Grace Family,

The start of Term 3 has certainly been a busy one. On the first weekend back we celebrated the 20th anniversary of the founding of Grace College. The day began with an assembly with guest speaker, Dr Rob Pluke, who gave an inspiring and entertaining address. We were also thrilled to have the founders of the school, Frances Stimson and Trish Gatland, in attendance. This was followed by the Inter-House Cross Country as well as a Soccer Festival where matches were fiercely contested. Both our Girls’ and Boys’ first teams acquitted themselves well against strong opposition. The day concluded with an Alumni braai where teachers and past pupils were reacquainted. This past weekend, our Inter-House Athletics was held. Sinai won a fiercely contested meeting where there were a number of truly outstanding performances.

This coming Saturday sees our second annual Hilton Car Show. The number of exhibitors has grown significantly from last year and the day promises to be filled with fun and excitement for the whole family. There will be plenty of food to buy as well as live musical entertainment. For the little ones, there will be a jumping castle to keep them busy while you admire the cars on show and browse around the market stalls.

Given the busyness of the term, I would like to urge all our pupils to remain focused on academics. In particular, I wish our Matrics much strength as they prepare to write trial examinations.

God bless

Mr V Luksich
