Welcome to the fifth issue of THE GRACE VINE for 2018.

“Ah, Sovereign LORD, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you.”
Jeremiah 32:17

Dear Grace Family,

I was blessed to have recently attend a SAHISA conference where Dr Mamphela Ramphele was the keynote speaker. Later in the afternoon she conducted a two hour workshop, which was attended by five of our senior pupils. Dr Ramphele spoke about her vision for our country’s future in such positive and uplifting tones while never losing sight of the challenges that we face. I certainly left feeling motivated after a week of bad news on so many fronts. We all face challenges, whether corporately as citizens or individually and often these challenges seem insurmountable.
A common thread running through the presentation of each speaker, was that we need to place our trust and reliance on God. Jeremiah realized this when, despite the dire situation faced by the nation of Israel, he obeyed the word of God and bought a piece of ground at a time where there was no hope. He understood that nothing was too difficult for the God who made the heavens and the earth and that what is impossible to us is always possible with God.
We need to pray earnestly for those leading our country and the challenges they face and that they too would put their trust in the God that we serve.
I wish every pupil in our school success in the June examinations.

God bless

Mr V Luksich
